Happy November, MPIGNY! 

October brought some great excitement to the chapter, and we are going to keep the momentum going for the month of November! From celebrating the achievement and successes of our members at the Annual Genie Awards at Bistrot Bagatelle to our CSR volunteer with God's Love We Deliver, there has been much to offer our members. Be sure to check out all that is to come with the month of November. We started off November with great programming provided by Dr. Michelle Rozen on "How to Keep up with Change." After the hustle of Thanksgiving, join MPIGNY in Times Square to network, bid on remarkable auction items and sample unbelievable cocktails. With Deep Eddy Vodka as our base, our mixology teams will be mixing up original creations, and you get to be the judge! You don’t want to miss this Madness!

About the event: Combining networking, cocktails and auction, this is truly a spectacular MPIGNY event! There will be over 50 auction items to bid on (live and silent combined) including gift baskets, dining, hotel stays and spas, as well as eight mixology teams creating their special cocktail for you to decide who wins!

About the venue: PlayStation Theater in Times Square is yet again our host for the 33rd Annual Auction & Mixology. They hosted such a fantastically fun event in 2017 that we thought … let’s do another year! PlayStation Theater is a state-of-the-art venue placed in the heart of Manhattan and has 45,000 square feet that can be used for any event, meeting or show you have in mind.

It’s that time of year again! Donate a little piece of your company to the best auction in NYC! We are asking for a donation of a service, item or experience; so hotel accommodations, dining/shopping/spa certificates, show tickets, gift bags, really anything that you feel would be the perfect representation of your company’s product and/or service.

What do you get in return? We will provide your company exposure to all of our MPIGNY members as well as local meeting and event professionals in the Greater New York area as this event attracts more than just our membership. Your company name/logo will be displayed at the event as well as on our website and in our social media outlets. Last year, we had over 180 people attend this signature event and more than 1,500 visited our sites; this year we are anticipating well over 200 at the auction.

Thank you to all of our members who came out to support God's Love We Deliver this past month! It was a warm and heartwarming experience for all. If you did not get a chance to attend, there are still ways to support this terrific organization. 

The holidays can be a difficult, lonely time for people who are living with severe illness. That's why God's Love cooks and delivers more than 13,000 special holiday meals for our clients and their families on Thanksgiving and in late December.

They have launched the #CelebratewithaPlate campaign and asking donors to sponsor one or more holiday meals. Every $10 provides a delicious, healthy holiday meal for a client. $20 provides meals for a client and their guest.

About: God’s Love We Deliver is the New York metropolitan area’s leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, today God’s Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God’s Love cooks and home-delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client’s severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our registered dietitian nutritionists, and all clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God’s Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of its clients. All of the agency’s services are provided free of charge, and in its history of more than 30 years, God’s Love We Deliver has never had a waiting list. A dedicated group of planner and supplier members braved the weather and gathered on Nov. 6 for our education event. Dr. Michelle Rozen shared an energetic presentation on how to keep up with change. We explored the psychology of change, how to overcome obstacles to change and how the “CHANGE” model can motivate and manage changes in both our personal and professional lives. Because of the upcoming holiday season, MPIGNY Education Sessions won’t be back until January 2019, but remember you can always use the MPI Academy to further your education through on-demand webinars, which are free to members: MPI Academy
