Message from the Chapter President, Carly Roncaglio-Marotta:

July was a fantastic start to the MPI Greater New York calendar year, and I hope you were able to participate in some of the exciting events! We kicked off our year with our second annual "Practice Round" reception at the LOTTE New York Palace Hotel on Wednesday, July 18. The following day, our MPIGNY Kalahari Resorts Golf Outing brought in a record-breaking 144 golfers! It was one of the best ones yet – along with perfect golf weather! Our popular After 6 Mix helped kick off the year as well with a great showing of event professionals at Nomo Soho!

Next up, our Industry Summer Bash will be taking place at Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge at the Moxy Times Square Hotel. Please see below for further details and a link to register!

As a friendly reminder, our Genie nominations are still open! Do you know a member who has gone above and beyond within our chapter? I encourage you to nominate them! You can find more information around the nominations below. Details surrounding the Genie Awards will be announced shortly so please be on the look-out!

The Next 30...And Beyond

Join us on Monday for Summer Bash!

Industry Summer Bash 2018 - Monday, Aug. 6

Summer Bash is all about fun, reconnection and rejuvenation. Sure, you might get in a little networking, make a new contact or two, but most of all, you will see those folks you never know how much you missed until you see their smiling faces again. So pop out your trusty electronic toy, punch in the date and get ready for some rooftop networking!

Please join the members of area meetings, hospitality, tourism and marketing professional associations and their guests for an exciting evening of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and fun! A special silent auction will be held to support the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge NY, our student scholarship fund and Donors Choose (which funds classroom needs in NYC schools in high poverty areas), so remember to bring your credit card or checkbook to win great travel and entertainment prizes and more while helping a good cause. If you are interested in donating a prize for the auction, please email us at info@hsmainyc.org.

The Past 30...

Thanks for joining us at the 2018 MPIGNY Kalahari Resort Golf Outing!

The 2018 MPIGNY Kalahari Resort Golf Outing was one for the history books! It was yet another great and exciting day out on Long Island at Harbor Links Golf Course. The annual event included 36 Foursomes (which is a record 144 golfers), dozens of qualified meeting planners and lots of great suppliers from all over the country coming in town for this can’t-miss industry event. The night before the outing, the MPIGNY Golf Committee kicked off the festivities with a the second annual "Practice Round" reception at the LOTTE New York Palace Hotel. The reception was a great way to kick off the event and was well-received by all in attendance. Visit the photo album here. The 2018/19 MPIGNY Golf Committee is already beginning preparations on next year’s event so stay tuned for more details this fall!

July After Six Mix

Another great turnout for July’s After Six Mix hosted by the fabulous NoMo SoHo. The weather did not dampen anyone’s mood for this season’s opening networking event. All congregated on the Second Floor Gallery and Terrace Bar, where guests were treated to the music of the hotel’s in-house duo while sipping summer cocktails and feasting on delectable bites. Attendees also enjoyed touring the hotel’s unique event spaces in this memorable and sophisticated venue.
