Hello, MPIGNY! As you may know, our Education Event for tonight is being postponed due to the weather. Stay tuned for an announcement about the rescheduled date. But, looking ahead in March, we are excited to announce our next edition of After Six Mix will take place on March 28 at Dewey's Pub in Manhattan. Information about our Networking Mixer can be found on our website.
Thank you to everyone who joined at The Bank Space at The Manhattan Center on February 13 for a night of networking. We reconnected with our membership, talked about volunteer opportunities and met some new faces as well. We want to thank our networking event sponsor, Business Events Canada, who partnered with us to make the event happen!
Coming up in April, our chapter will be collaborating with PCMA to celebrate Global Meetings Industry Day on April 11. Please save the date and be on the lookout for registration soon. In addition, looking a bit further ahead, our 2018 MPIGNY Kalahari Golf Outing has been set for Thursday, July 19 at Harbor Links Golf Course. The March Education Event, Don't Just Be a Cost Center – Making Meetings and Events a Center Point, for Thursday, March 8 has been postponed and we will announce the new date soon. This event is focused toward the meetings and events planner community. This session will cover:
• How planners can build their event team's reputation and be seen as a must-have.
• How senior-level meeting professionals or new planners can bring great value to their company.

After Six Mix is designed as a happy hour-style experience. It is not structured, has no fee, no requirements. It is about relaxed interaction with fellow members. Bring your co-workers and friends, interact with like-minded professionals. Enhance your circle of friends with others in this most unique sector. This month, we will be gathering at Dewey's Pub. Our hosts will be offering extended happy hour drink pricing, light appetizers and an exclusive space for us to mingle.
These days, everyone knows how influential social networking can be to their business endeavors, but MPIGNY is going old school, we're going back to networking socially.

MPIGNY love was in the air at the premiere of New York’s newest venue, The Bank Space at The Manhattan Center. Guests dined on mouthwatering culinary delights provided by The Wyndham New Yorker Hotel, while chatting with Board and Committee members and learning all that MPIGNY has to offer. DJ Mike DeMaio from Sound Explosion Event Group had the crowd moving and Brand Activation Services provided a versatile photo booth allowing attendees to choose various backgrounds to create fun memories of the event. Two lucky raffle winners won weekend stays, kindly provided by Accor Hotels, at two of their finest establishments in Montreal – The Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth Montreal and the Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile.
