THURSDAY, March 30: Global Meetings Industry Day 2023

On March 30, thanks to the collaboration of HSMAI, ILEA, NACE, Live Events Coalition, NYSAE, NYIAEE, NSBWEP, PCMA, and SITE NE we successfully celebrated Global Meetings Industry Day. Our combined efforts produced a tastefully designed education program, The POWer of ReConnecting in 2023: From WTF to WFH. This in-person event was hosted graciously at New York’s eco-friendly venue, @Ease1345. 

Thanks to the support of New York City Tourism & Conventions, the event kicked off with an interactive CSR activity provided by Feet First Entertainment, Water Works Artwork for Charity, where our attendees colored panels to create a colorfully designed sticker to be placed on a non-electric water filtration bucket to provide clean water to a village in Uganda. Then it was on to a high energy program facilitated by Chief Connecting Officer, Ginger Johnson. We learned that the art of connecting isn’t hard, and it can start with something as simple as just a smile. Together we determined the ZYXs of connecting and had fun doing it, too!

All in all, a great time was had by all: delectable food & drink, good education, and great networking! The meetings and hospitality industry showed up and showed out!
