MCAM does it again!  For the third year MCAM members stepped up to assist the Salvation Army to meet the needs of local families during the Holiday Season.

MCAM members donated $4,700 to purchase, build and deliver Christmas Hampers to 11 Winnipeg families.

The hampers included groceries to prepare a traditional Christmas dinner as well as fill the pantry's over the Holiday Season.  Each of the 41 children from the 11 families received a personalized gift and a toboggan and parents received a grocery gift card and a few small personal items.  Families also receieved a Gingerbread house and family boardgame to help create special memories.

The day started off at 11:00 a.m., with volunteers wrapping presents for the children and building the grocery hampers.

Once the gifts and groceries were sorted, volunteers enjoyed lunch together and strategized delivery!  Packages were delivered by volunteers to the each of the family homes.

Eric Henstridge, VP of Comco Pipe & Supply, shares "Holiday Hamper Program is a great way to give back to those who need it most during the holidays. MCAM does a tremendous job in cooordinating this project with members and the community. I am proud to be part of this initiative where my help directly helps those most vulnerable in Winnipeg. Having the opportunity to connect with my fellow associates in the mechanical contracting industry is a great feeling too!"
