Experts say recruiting women into the trades is important, but even more important is keeping them in the industry. One of their main points in a presentation called Creating Equity Through Industry Collaboration: Best Practices for Recruiting and Retaining Women in Construction was that the “why” aspect of women not having trades jobs is less important than the “how” of recruiting and retaining women in the industry.
