As a supporter of World Plumbing Day on March 11, the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating is always looking for new ways to engage our members and the community to celebrate the impact plumbing has on our daily lives. This year, we are encouraging elementary school students to tell us what water means to them. For every submission CIPH will donate $5 to WaterAid Canada, an organization dedicated to increasing access to clean water and sanitation around the globe. Please encourage the students in your home, and your life, to participate in this meaningful program.

INDUSTRY NEWS

Offsite construction is growing more common due to its increased efficiency on jobsites, labour shortages and tight project timelines. The pre-fabrication market is expected to grow as more sustainable building standards are put in place, since offsite building creates less waste and uses less energy. As well, factory-based building construction techniques make panelized or volumetric systems more attractive due to inherent cost savings.
