Industry News
Over the last few months we have heard from many who wish to get involved with CanBIM, but their firms are not at the point to commit fully to becoming Corporate Members. For these individuals (perhaps the only BIM voice in their organization) often feel detached from the broader BIM community locally and nationally. These individuals all have a great passion for BIM and want to add their voice to the discussion in a meaningful and equal way to some of their peers from amongst our Corporate Members. The Board of Directors acknowledged this concern and established the "Individual Member" category with a modest annual fee of $200.00 (CAD). This membership affords individuals all the same rights as a Corporate Member including having a single vote, opportunity to run for election to the board and any and all discounts at the CanBIM Regional Sessions & Technology Exhibitions.
November 5 & 6, 2014, Stampede Park, Calgary, AB - As an honorary sponsor of this years CIPHEX West Trade Show, MCA Canada Members have access to a 'Promo Code' which allows members to register for the trade show, compliments of MCA Canada. That would include the exhibit hall and the seminars (but not the hydronics conference workshops which are paid sessions). The code is specific to our association.
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) and Defence Construction Canada (DCC) introduced new measures on June 30 to support the use of apprentices in construction and maintenance contracts.
