Canada is missing out on economic opportunities by not having enough apprenticeships available in enough sectors, says a newly released report. The report, written by Dr. Robert Lerman, a professor of economics at American University in Washington, D.C. was published by the Canadian Council of Chief Executives (CCCE). Almost half of Canada’s 426,000 registered apprentices are in one of four occupations: carpenter, electrician, plumber and automotive service technician.

MCA Canada's Charity of Choice

Have you ever asked yourself, "What can I do to make the world a better place?" Most of us have.
Through MCA Canada's Charity of Choice, Operation Eyesight, you can directly affect the lives of individuals or an entire village with a simple donation. No matter how much, every dollar counts. Together we are on a mission to help eradicate Tracoma, a painful and infectious disease transmitted by flies in dirty environments. It can be dealt with simply by providing access to sanitary conditions and clean water. Something you and I take for granted here in Canada.

MCA Canada and its Charity Committee Chairman, Brad Diggens, are fully committed to helping eradicate this preventable disease. Please consider contributing to our charity, which literally saves lives and betters the world. Visit the MCA Canada website at www.mcac.ca, call the office at 613-232-0492 or email mcac@mcac.ca for your
copy of the "Operation Eyesight Pledge Package."
