MCA Canada and the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating will coordinate an event for April 11 and 12, 2022 in Ottawa. Previously we dealt with business items related in terms of trade barriers; Canadian harmonization of codes and regulations; Canada – USA harmonization of standards.
Together we will be advocating for retrofits and skilled trades since there is some traction on those topics with the current government. However, with placing the Hill Day in April, we will have the benefit of seeing what the Throne Speech and mandate letters say to see if there’s any other key points we may want to address collectively.
We will reach out to key federal departments to arrange meetings that will include NRCan, National Research Council, Treasury Board, Federation Standards Council of Canada and Industry Canada.
Our lobbyist Impact Public Affairs will be reaching out to MPs and senators to arrange meetings.
