Interpreting changing conditions is particularly challenging as age demographics take hold with over 261,000 workers expected to retire over the next decade – 22 percent of the current labour force. An ongoing commitment to recruiting and training will be necessary to ensure there are sufficient numbers of qualified tradespeople to sustain a skilled labour force over the long term.
