The work of the LonMark Safety Task Group -- the creation of Safety Integrity Level -ready SNVTs -- was approved by the LonMark International Board of Directors.  The fruits of this effort allows devices in LONWORKS networks to be considered for applications where IEC 61508 is required.

The Automated Food-Service (AFS) Task Group members updated the Conveyor Toaster profile for AFS1 projects and revised the Test Case document for the profile.

Want to get involved?  Interested in proposing a new profile or data type?  Don’t forget that all LonMark International members and member employees are eligible to participate in any of the Task Groups.  To sign-up for a particular Task Group email list, go to www.lonmark.org/members/technical_resources/task_groups

Other Task Groups actively developing at this time include Lighting (emergency-lighting profiles), Utility/Energy (meters, solar, wind, and loads), and Services (a simplified scheduler profile).
