Each company received a certificate that recognizes them on an international level as a certified system integrator for LON building automation.

System Integrators are responsible for the implementation of multi-vendor automation systems based on the ISO/IEC 14908-1 technology. Their work ranges from concept through design to operation, maintenance and optimization. With the certification program for system integrators, LonMark ensures the quality of multi-vendor ISO/IEC 14908-1 projects.

The international certificate for a Certified System Integrator (CSI) is given by LonMark International in cooperation with LonMark Germany. The LONMARK Certified System Integrator designation is for companies that have on staff at least two LONMARK Certified Professionals (LCPs) and have also completed additional practical demonstration of LONWORKS technology abilities. Other requirements include: 

 

• Be a member of LONMARK International in good standing
• Be a member of the local LONMARK Affiliate (if applicable)
• Have a minimum of two staff members who hold current LONMARK Certified Professional credentials
• Have comprehensive training on the LONWORKS platform, LONMARK Interoperability - Guidelines, and open system integration
• Have company proven field experience with the LONWORKS technology
• Provide reference projects

The certification process for the German-speaking countries is carried out by LonMark Germany in the German language on behalf of LonMark International, the certificate is issued by LonMark International and is internationally valid. The existing certification procedures of the LonMark Germany for system integrators is replaced by the process for CSI.
