TIMBERKIDS Annual Quebec Golf Tournament Raises Record-Breaking Funds for Children

 

Last month, TIMBER MART’s charitable foundation, Timberkids, raised a record-breaking $38,000 during its annual Quebec golf tournament on August 29 at the Thetford Golf Club in Thetford Mines, Que. An auction was hosted after the golf tournament where a myriad of prizes were available for bidding, including NHL hockey tickets, a Hockey Canada signed jersey, a Sidney Crosby-signed hockey jersey and two luxurious one-week trips to Miscou, New Brunswick. Over 110 guests attended from across the province, including over 38 TIMBER MART dealer attendees and 25 vendor companies.  

“We’re very pleased with the turnout at this year’s tournament and humbled by the generosity of our dealer and vendor communities,” says Jon Irwin, TIMBER MART’s vice-president of Member Services. “Timberkids exists to support the health and well-being of Canadian children and the funds that were raised at this year’s tournament will go towards improving many childrens’ lives in the communities where our dealers do business.”  

This year’s annual golf tournament in Quebec was the foundation’s 12th annual edition and is one of three annual tournaments held every year to raise funds. The Atlantic Timberkids golf tournament was held last month on August 17 and the Ontario Timberkids golf tournament was held on September 14.
