TIMBER MART Welcomes Indepedent Dealer in Quebec
Located in Mont-Tremblant, Que., independent building material dealer, Aluminium J. Clément Inc. (Aluminium J. Clément) has joined TIMBER MART to benefit from the group’s buying power while also maintaining their independence.

“TIMBER MART will offer our business more product categories, better buying power, strong supplier relationships and access to vendor-direct purchasing through Spancan,” says Aluminium J. Clément co-owner, Alain Journet.

“We look forward to benefitting from all of the group’s offerings while growing our business with new products and maintaining our independence,” says Aluminium J. Clément co-owner, Patrick-Guy Meury.

“Aluminium J. Clément opened their doors in 1974 and has been fiercely independent since then,” says Alain Charbonneau, national membership development manager in Quebec. “We welcome them to our group and look forward to supporting their business with all the programs and services we offer, for many years to come.”

While Aluminium J. Clément opened their business in 1974, they have been serving DIYers, architects as well as residential and commercial contractors in the Laurentians since 1980. They provide their customers with quality building materials and installation services, including sales and installation of exterior siding, roofing, doors, windows, railings, balconies and much more. Today, the business employs a team of over 65 staff and houses multiple buildings on its acreage for showroom space, product storage and a carpentry shop for custom-built projects.


TIMBER MART Appoints New Vice-President of Forest Products Trading
TIMBER MART has appointed Bruno Baldessari as their new vice-president of forest products trading. Effective in his role as of November 15, 2021, Mr. Baldessari will be responsible for leading and managing TIMBER MART’s national lumber trading division.

“Bruno will be accountable for growing the lumber trading unit of our group with new products and services in support of our members’ evolving business needs and long-term success,” says Bernie Owens, TIMBER MART’s president & CEO. “We welcome Bruno to the TIMBER MART team and look forward to seeing our group and members across Canada, benefit from his visionary leadership and years of experience in our industry.”

Bruno has over 30 years of progressive experience in the building materials industry which he’s gained by working for a variety of organizations including BMR, RONA and Cameron Ashley Building Products. In this time, he has built strong relationships with dealers and vendors alike while in senior leadership positions in building-material procurement, marketing, retail operations and sales.

As a member of TIMBER MART’s senior leadership team, Mr. Baldessari will report directly to TIMBER MART’s President and CEO, Bernie Owens.


TIMBER MART Appoints New Regional Director for Quebec
TIMBER MART has appointed Jean-François Caron as their new regional director of member services for Quebec, effective November 3rd. Mr. Caron will be responsible for managing relationships with TIMBER MART members in Quebec and acting as a liaison between TIMBER MART and the regional membership. He will work to ensure that members receive competitive advantage in their local markets through all of TIMBER MART’s programs, products and services that allow them to develop profitable and sustainable businesses.

“Jean-François has over nine years of experience in the building material industry and over 10 years in store operations and merchandising,” says Jon Irwin, vice-president of member services. “Since he’s been a part of the TIMBER MART team, he has built strong relationships with our dealers in Quebec and we look forward to seeing our members strengthen their relationships with him and benefit from his deep knowledge of their business, our group and the industry at large.”

Mr. Caron began his career in the building materials industry in 2012 at Chalifour Canada in merchandising. In 2015, he joined TIMBER MART as a merchandising coordinator where he was responsible for liaising with TIMBER MART members and vendors while coordinating new TIMBER MART-store exteriors and interiors, including signage, planograms, displays and floor layouts.

In his new role, he will report directly to TIMBER MART’s Vice-President of Member Services, Jon Irwin, and work remotely.
