Castle's national growth continues as they announce the following new members:

Peel Hardware & Supply
Peel Hardware & Supply is a family owned business in Caledon, Ontario, boasting a wide selection of building materials, hardware and home improvement products. The store also services the local area as a unique gift and garden centre, while providing animal feed to the local farming community.

Owner Bill Hewson founded Peel Hardware & Supply in 2013 as a small retail hardware and supply store which he later expanded by moving the store location to Caledon, unveiling a 20,000 square foot retail store to the local community.

“2021 marks another great and exciting year of change as we proudly join the Castle group! We look forward to being a part of a group of independents who understand the challenges of operating in today’s market and help us realize our potential in the home improvement segment.” Bill Hewson, Owner

Bill’s daughter, Jennifer Hewson manages the family business along with a team of skilled and experienced professionals. They look forward to opening their doors in Caledon as the newest Castle Building Centre.

“Entrepreneurs that are driven by service and growth opportunities will prosper. Castle can offer unique businesses like Peel Hardware & Supply unlimited potential. They see what Castle can do for the future growth of their business.” Ken Jenkins, Castle President

Castle Welcomes New Member to the Kawartha Lakes Region
Castle announced today that a new retail location will be opening in Coboconk, Ontario. Tri-County Building Supplies is located in the heart of the Kawartha Lakes/Haliburton cottage country and is a full-service lumber yard and building materials store.

The well-established retailer has serviced the consumers and contractors in the local area for almost 40 years. After more than 20 years under a different banner, owner Larry Cobbledick decided that Castle would be a better fit for his business and allow him the flexibility to operate as true independent.

“I needed a buying group that would allow me to grow my business in ways that suited our needs and Castle’s business model can make that happen.” Larry Cobbledick, Owner

The store plans to rebrand their existing interior and exterior fixtures to the Castle brand, and long-time store manager Renee Lee is looking forward to new opportunities to expand their product offering through the Castle network.

“The unique experience of being part of a buying group where ‘You Are The Brand’ is echoed throughout Castle’s membership; and a welcome change for the Independents who come to Castle from other groups. We are pleased to welcome Tri-County Building Supplies to the Castle family.” Ken Jenkins, Castle President

Independents Continue to Choose Castle
Castle’s growth in Ontario continues to strengthen their national footprint with the announcement of a new member location in Sudbury. Situated in Val Caron, a region in the northern end of Sudbury, Daro Vinyl Products is the newest independent set to open their doors as Castle.

Daro Vinyl Products has catered to residential and commercial customers for close to 25 years. Experienced entrepreneurs, Roy Gareau and his son Joel realized they wanted to expand their business and have greater community reach. It was important that they partnered with a buying group that could help further their growth; a group that was aligned with their core values and understood their entrepreneurial spirit.

“With the Castle group we will have access to all major vendors and the move to Castle gives our team the opportunity to be more competitive in our region while maintaining our independence.” Roy Gareau, Founder

With a dedicated team, Roy is excited to be part of the Castle group and to serve his community with an enhanced product offering and wide range of building material products.

“At Castle we understand the spirit of the independent entrepreneur. Our business model is built on providing our members the tools they need to be profitable and successful, while growing their own brand. This is what makes Castle the buying group of choice for independent retailers.” Ken Jenkins, Castle President
