Local hardware store Paradis et Frères A.F.M Inc. in Asbestos, Québec, is thrilled to join Home Hardware’s 100% Dealer-owned network of stores.

Owned and operated by Dealers Nicolas and René Paradis, the store has been serving the community since 1964 and has been in the Paradis family for three generations.

“Home Hardware is a strong Canadian brand and is committed to the success of its Dealers who are 100% independently owned and operated,” said Nicolas Paradis, Dealer-Owner, Paradis et Frères A.F.M Inc. “We are confident Home’s vast selection of products, and competitive pricing will allow us to provide the excellent service and value our customers have come to expect.”

Paradis et Frères began as an oil heating furnace installer and oil delivery company, eventually expanding to include plumbing and heating. Today, the store boasts 12,000 square feet of retail space and a 15,000 square foot warehouse. It also offers a fireplace boutique and a wood cutting shop, as an added service.

“We would like to extend a warm welcome to Nicolas, René and their employees,” said Mario Durocher, Director, Retail Operations Québec. “We are excited to work with them to offer excellent service and products to their community and thank them for the confidence they have shown to Home Hardware.”

By converting to Home Hardware, the store joins Canada’s largest network of independent hardware, lumber, building materials and furniture retailers, with close to 1,050 Dealers proudly waving the Home banner.

“We continue to increase our Dealer base in Québec as part of our province-wide growth strategy,” said Luc Martin, Senior Director, Business Development Québec. “We saw incredible development in Québec in 2020, where we now have over 135 stores and we look forward to continued growth.”
