President Ken Jenkins sent out the following message:

“This past weekend the lives of so many families in Nova Scotia and across this country were impacted by an unspeakable series of unspeakable crimes. We were heartbroken to learn that Castle members Kurt & Tina Gratto of Masstown Hardware Castle Building Supplies lost their daughter and son-in-law Jamie & Greg Blair. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Gratto and Blair families through these difficult days.

Jamie & Greg leave behind two sons, Jack 10 and Alexander 12, with their family dog Zoey. On behalf of the Gratto and Blair families, Castle is establishing a trust fund in support of Jack & Alexander. We have received numerous requests from Castle members and suppliers seeking to support the family. The generosity of this wonderful industry is overwhelming.

On behalf of Castle, our sincere condolences to all of the victims, families and communities involved.”

Trust Fund Update

Last week Castle communicated the intention to establish a trust fund for the surviving children of Jamie & Greg Blair who were among the victims in a series of senseless crimes in Nova Scotia. We continue to navigate through the numerous details required to establish the trust fund.

The Jack and Alexander Blair Trust Fund will be launched and operational on Tuesday May 5th and we will follow up with a contribution link to the Trust Fund site next week.

Castle would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our community of members and suppliers for the outpouring of requests to support the family.
