COSELLA-DÖRKEN CONFIRMS DELTA® AIR BARRIER SYSTEMS HAVE HEALTH PRODUCT DECLARATION® V2.0

Cosella-Dörken announces that DELTA®-VENT S and the self-adhering DELTA®-VENT SA air and moisture barriers have a Health Product Declaration® (HPD) v 2.0. Architects designing LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified buildings can be even more confident in the high performance water-resistive and self-adhesive air barriers because they are accepted by the Health Product Declaration® Collaborative.

The HPD is a flexible tool for achieving the LEED v4 Material Ingredient Reporting credit. It provides essential information for designers and builders to make healthier choices for human and environmental health, as well as a transparent and unbiased framework for manufacturers to effectively report material health information. After working towards the HPD for over a year, the DELTA®-VENT S and DELTA®-VENT SA products met the stringent regulations set by the HPD Collaborative.

"HPD is widely recognized by architects wanting to build LEED certified structures," said Marcus Jablonka, vice president, Cosella-Dörken. "Building green and sustainable involves the business of manufacturing and it was important for us to obtain this credential to support the work of our clients."

DELTA®-VENT S and DELTA®-VENT SA deliver industry-leading performance for air and moisture barriers in commercial buildings - all while being easy to use and apply. The products’ proven performance is further supported by their many credentials; having a manufacturer-designed and fabricated system allows for complete oversight of the production process, thereby providing Cosella-Dörken with superior quality and material control.

The HPD Collaborative is a non-profit member organization committed to the continuous improvement of the building industry’s performance through transparency, openness and innovation in the product supply chain. The HPD Open Standard is a voluntary technical specification for reporting information on product contents and associated health information.

Jablonka concluded, "It’s a huge benefit that a building product could actually contribute to a project’s bottom line by reducing time and labour costs while also ensuring LEED v4 compliance."
