The LBMAO Announces the recipient of the 28th Industry Achievement Award: Jim Kenny

The Board of Directors of the LBMAO is pleased to announce the recipient of the 28th Industry Achievement Award:

 Jim Kenny

This award recognizes those individuals who have contributed in a positive manner to the industry, the association and to their community. Jim can be described as a true professional, having travelled countless miles throughout this province as both a sales and manufacturer representative and later as the Field Services Manager for the Association.  

Jim called on virtually every building supply retailer in Ontario over his tenure with the Association and became known as the face of the LBMAO, building respect and strong relationships with our members.   He was also highly regarded as a trainer since he came from the industry and understood the unique challenges of material handling in a lumber yard.

The Industry Achievement Award was established in 1989 and since then has been awarded each year to those who have demonstrated leadership and a sincere interest in a strong and vibrant home improvement industry.  

The Association’s past chair committee makes the selection based upon nominations from the industry.

We wish to congratulate Jim and thank all those who submitted nominations.
