TIMBER MART Promotes Buyer to Senior Role

TIMBER MART has promoted Building Material Procurement Manager, Bill Douma to the role of senior building material procurement manager.

Douma will enter his new role with over 40 years of industry experience and 17 years of experience purchasing for TIMBER MART. He will assume additional responsibilities during TIMBER MART’s program negotiations as well as uphold his current duties of negotiating many of TIMBER MART’s national and regional buying programs and assist in the development and organization of TIMBER MART’s flyer program and national buying show.

"This promotion is a reflection of Bill’s current responsibilities which have expanded over the 17 years he’s been with TIMBER MART, as well as his wealth of industry knowledge and experience, and ongoing commitment to negotiate preferred buying programs for our membership," says Randy Martin, vice president of procurement for TIMBER MART.

Douma works out of TIMBER MART’s Vaughan office and reports directly to Randy Martin, vice president of procurement. He lives with his wife in Brampton, Ontario and has five adult children and nine grandchildren.
