This full service lumber, building materials and hardware retail store is rich in history, dating back to 1936 when Frederick Lockwood started the company as a custom millwork manufacturer - Wood Works of Renfrew. Over the past 85 years, the reins have been passed on from generation to generation. Lockwood Building Centre is currently operated by Bob Lockwood, grandson of Frederick, who is no stranger to the LBM industry in Ontario; he currently sits on the board of the LBMAO as Chairman and is definitely in tune with the direction of the industry. Bob has been cultivating this successful LBM retail location for almost 30 years, servicing contractors and consumers as a full service and highly respected home improvement centre in the local area. Lockwood Castle occupies a remarkable 7 acres of property on the outskirts of Renfrew with over 5500 sq. ft of retail space and a 5000 sq. ft. drive-thru lumberyard. Bob, alongside store manager Shawn Davidson, offers his customers real home improvement project know-how and expertise. "Castle is pleased have such a great start to the new year with the announcement of Got Wood Building Supplies as our newest member location. We welcome Got Wood to the Castle family." Ken Jenkins, President. Stephane Parent and Lynn Gosselin, owners and operators of Got Wood Building Supplies, were very eager to start 2014 as a member of the Castle family. Stephane and Lynn continue to operate multiple businesses in the construction and retail channels, as they have for the past few decades. Got Wood, their newer venture, (a 3 year old building supply location that supplies contractors with construction and building materials and a full service and highly respected home improvement centre in the local area) is now strategically poised for growth as part of the Castle buying group. Knowledgeable staff are always on hand and ready to provide customers with information and product knowledge. Stephane Parent & Lynn Gosselin. 2013 Fantastic Fall Shopping Spree Winners Castle Building Centres Group Ltd is pleased to announce the winners of the 2013 Fantastic Fall Shopping Spree. This exciting nation-wide promotion was held October 1st to November 30th and was open to all Castle member locations across Canada. Castle customers had the opportunity to fill out a ballot in-store for the opportunity to win one of three $5000.00 Castle Shopping Sprees. The prizes were awarded regionally with one winner per region. Regions included: Ontario and Quebec, the Atlantic and Western Canada regions. Thousands of ballots were received from participating Castle locations and the following winners were officially confirmed by KCG Marketing, an independent contest management firm on January 2nd 2014: Western Region - Bulkley Home Centre, Telkwa, BC.
