Sexton Group: Onward and Upward!
 The third quarter has been extremely busy at Sexton Group Ltd. Purchase volumes are running at a record pace and once again we expect a record setting year. "No doubt in some markets our member’s success has been aided by a strong local economy. However what is really striking, is the increased breadth of products and services most members are expanding into. They are also increasing market share by improving facilities, particularly their store fronts. The expansionary activities of our existing members, coupled with new members joining, is a potent combination", reports Steve Buckle.In the Prairies we welcomed Farmland Supply Centre Inc. and Demby Trailer. Farmland Supply Centre Inc. is located in Medicine Hat AB, specializing in environmental products, pumps, hydraulic materials, large pipes and irrigation. Demby Trailer, located in Weyburn SK, specializes in manufacturing high quality well site living accommodation and office trailers for the oil and gas industry. In Ontario, Sexton Group added Builders Direct Buy Corp. Located in Leamington ON, they specialize in the manufacturing of Structural Frame components. In British Columbia we added Pacific Homes & Pacific Truss and Tru Line Truss to the group. Pacific Homes & Pacific Truss are located in Cobble Hill BC, they specialize in manufacturing of trusses, prefabricated building systems, custom home and cottage packages. Tru Line Truss, located in Creston BC, specializing in engineered wood products, from sturdy roof trusses to strong quiet floor joists, to beams and columns. We welcome all of our new members to our Sexton family. Including these new additions, the group has now added 19 locations in 2013. At the Sexton Group Ltd, we realize the importance great customer service has on your business, so Dave Leonzio, Business Development Manager for the Prairies and Territories, put together an On-site Sales Training program for Building Supply Dealers. A number of Sexton members have already experienced the training and deemed it a huge success. Ron Toews from BorderView Lumber in Cartwright MB, commented, "We were all very pleased with the training Dave provided onsite. We were able to have all of our staff attend, and we are seeing the benefits of what they learned every day". Leonzio has an extensive background in Sales Training which he incorporated into an interactive onsite training session held right at the Dealer’s site. "Building, maintaining and growing our relationship with our customers is very important to our dealers and to us" states Dave, "Whether your employees are inside sales, outside sales or yard personnel; providing good service is a skill, and like any other it must be taught, particularly to those employees new to the industry."
