Dear Members and Colleagues of the Kentucky Society of Healthcare Engineers,

I am honored and deeply grateful to step into the role of President of KSHE. I want to sincerely thank you for the trust and confidence you have placed in me to continue advancing the mission of this exceptional organization. I would also like to take a moment to recognize Matt Snow’s outstanding leadership, which has set a high standard and left an inspiring legacy for us to build upon.

As we move forward together, my focus will remain on developing tools and strategies that elevate our chapter and profession to new heights. Our shared future will be centered on several key priorities:

1. Expanding Membership: Continuing to grow and diversify our membership base to represent a broader spectrum of expertise, including facility management, construction, long-term care, and emerging technologies.
2. Embracing Innovation: Exploring advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the capabilities and offerings in facility management and construction.
3. Building a Talent Pipeline: Thinking creatively to recruit and prepare the next generation of professionals who can thrive in the complex, highly regulated healthcare environment.
4. Driving Sustainability and Decarbonization: Remaining steadfast in our commitment to environmental stewardship, supported by dynamic new leaders to drive this important initiative forward.
5. Strengthening Community: Continuing the success of our social events, like our highly anticipated skeet shooting event, which have been instrumental in fostering connections and camaraderie within our chapter.

Together, these focus areas will ensure that KSHE not only thrives but leads the way in shaping the future of healthcare engineering across Kentucky and beyond.

I am truly humbled to lead this exceptional chapter and am excited for all that we will accomplish together. Thank you for the opportunity to serve, and I look forward to the journey ahead.
