After months of social isolation due to the pandemic, KSHE Board Leadership was able to personally present the 2020 Norm Menser Award and the 2020 James Mason Leadership Award to their respective recipients.

  David Wilcox

2021 KSHE President Martin Wheatley and Past President Joe Taylor were joined by another Past President, Jack Merrill for the presentation of the Norm Menser Award to David Wilcox. Mr. Wilcox, a graduate of Madisonville High School and the Madisonville area VoTech school, became a certified building inspector in 1982. David joined the Department of Housing, Building and Construction for the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2006 and retired in 2018. David had projects in nearly every hospital and healthcare facility in Western Kentucky and was widely thought of as a friend to facilities, maintenance, and healthcare construction managers, and designers across the state.

Past President Joe Taylor was honored to be able to present the 2020 James Mason Leadership Award to a surprised Mike Canales as he conducted an in-service training event for the Facilities Team at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
