Greetings everyone. It’s May and the flowers are blooming, the trees are budding, and we are busy preparing for the summer months ahead. COVID is calming down, and people are getting vaccinated. Hopefully this will continue and things will continue to relax so we all can enjoy our traditional in-person HCC.

A reminder that the ASHE PDC Summit is now virtual on June 2 – 4. A link is available on the KSHE website for anyone wishing to register for this event. Also, the ASHE Annual Conference has been relocated to Nashville August 8 – 11. There will also be a virtual option available September 15 – 17 for anyone unable to travel to the event. Check out the complementary “Lunch and Learn” opportunities from ASHE. The March 18 presentation, “A New Approach to Fire and Life Safety,” is now available on demand on the ASHE website. You can also check out the ASHE “How To” videos for leaders on You Tube and their “quick Learning” e-learning videos.

KSHE was recognized at the April KHA board meeting for their continued support of KHA’s Circle of Friends. Anyone wishing to donate to this worthy cause can do so on the KHA website. A link will also be available on the KSHE website soon. Watch for upcoming educational webinars available for our members on the KSHE website.

In closing, I would like to wish all the mothers out there a very happy and safe Mother’s Day.

Thank you for all you do.
