Your KSHE Board has been hard at work to provide continued and growing value to its membership. Thanks to this effort, we are ready to announce some excellent, affordable, and close to you education and professional development opportunities. These opportunities along with the annual ASHE Conference in August and HCC Conference in September are great opportunities to stay on top of the dramatic and continued changes in our profession.

The first event is scheduled for December 7, 2017, in Lexington. George Mills from The Joint Commission will catch us up on the newest and emerging accreditation changes being directed by CMS and integrated into The Joint Commission Standards. We are also planning a second very relevant presenter to make your day as valuable as possible. Seating will be limited to approximately 150 people, so be sure to register early.

The second big effort is the version 2.0 of CHT online. The board has committed significant resources to update CHT and take it to the next level. For those of you renewing, you will find continued relevant information and you will also find a new level of realistic and visually fresh training. For those of you taking CHT for the first time, you will be impressed with the great education and value your KSHE board in coordination with OCTC is bringing to you and many others. We believe this new version of CHT is the benchmark for not just Kentucky but also for the nation on orientating technicians to the healthcare facilities environment and reducing the threat to those we serve.

Please mark your calendars with the following dates:

September 26-28, 2017 – HCC Conference, Lexington

November 2, 2017 - Certified Healthcare Contractor(CHC) presentation, Owensboro KY

December 7, 2017 – George Mills Joint Commission Update and more.

The very best to you!
