Chocolate and Wine Tastefully Unique

As the calendar changes to a brand new year, KCMPI looks back at an extraordinarily fun and informative event that was held at Simply Unique Event Venue in Shawnee, Kan. On a chilly December night, entrepreneur and culinary expert Keri Lauderdale Olson warmed our taste buds with the sweet pairing of wine and chocolate. She provided five different pairings using wine and chocolate available locally. She also gave a small history of each chocolate and explained why the ingredients meshed so well with the wine. After tasting the different pairings, attendees could turn the knowledge into their own unique event.
When the program ended, the wonderful folks at Simply Unique Event Venue explained the many benefits of holding a meeting, event, party or wedding at their spacious venue in Shawnee. They also whipped up tasty snacks made by their in-house chef. The wine-pull, which capped the evening, was a huge success. A raffle was held and almost every attendee left with a wrapped bottle of fine wine generously donated by Arterra Event Gallery in Lawrence, Kan.
