How do you keep calm and carry on in the craziest of times?

I recently found myself in the perfect storm of work, home and volunteer positions that had me in a situation where balls had to be dropped. As much as I’d like to be great at everything, sometimes you just can’t do it all. Wi-Fi goes down, planes get delayed and people make mistakes that are out of our control. And while it may mess up our current plans, in the long run it will all work out.

Fortunately, I had two great articles with advice from guest authors for this newsletter in my inbox and an unplanned layover in Omaha to read them! You can find these articles under Career Development. Lee Siber and Rory Vaden both share some great suggestions on forging ahead in those craziest of times.

This month in KCMPI, take a moment to reach out to a new member, thank a sponsor, sign up for an upcoming event or simply congratulate someone on an accomplishment. Of all the things we do in our busy schedules, these are the simplest, with some of the longest lasting impacts.
