NACAS Welcomes New Staff Member, Tours University of North Florida

Lynette Smith faces the camera for her professional headshot. She is wearing an aqua polor, silver jewelry, and is smiling. Her brown wavy hair falls past her shoulders.

Please join us in welcoming Lynette Smith to the NACAS team. Lynette joins us as Director of Regions, giving our members one contact on our staff to ease and enhance the communication process. You may remember her from C3X last year, where she helped out at Registration. Lynette joins us from a successful career in event management, most recently at MCI USA.

The staff met in Jacksonville, Florida at the end of May for a coworking session and tour of the UNF campus. Vince Smyth and his team were fantastic tour guides, and we learned about the area wetlands, student life, and multiple activity options at UNF.

Certification

The CASP exam is being proctored throughout the months of June and December 2022. Add value to your role by:
 •  Easing leadership succession and staff transitions
 •  Improving cross-departmental collaboration and decision making
 •  Minimizing conflict when auxiliary services integrate
 •  Increasing operational efficiencies and revenues
 •  Enhancing campus-wide upgrades in contemporary ways

This certification offers an accelerated track to obtain necessary cross-functional knowledge and fills competency gaps to build confidence in new leaders and in those who hire them.

We apologize to three new recipients of the CASP designation who were missed in College Services Monthly emails at the end of last year.  Congratulations to:

 •  Timothy Dorsey - University of Richmond
 •  Mara Lowrey - Algonquin College
 •  Thomas Sekayan - California State University, San Bernardino

Please ensure you're reaching out to Raj White with questions about certification. He's happy to help.
