NACAS News

We've welcomed two folks to the team in the past month. Joy Sinclair has been hired as our Director of Marketing and Communications. Joy has been in the marketing and social media space for many years, and her passions are digital accessibility and helping companies thrive. You may have seen her at C3X 2019 as an Institutional Member or in 2021 assisting us as a contracted employee. She is a previous volunteer on the Communications Services Committee, and is excited to put her expertise to work for NACAS. Something you may not guess: She worked on a TV show for many years and has ties that span the globe.

Beverly Hastings, CMP, joined NACAS as Executive Assistant and Volunteer Experience Manager. She will be supporting CEO Matt Marcial and managing all things volunteer. Beverly has a strong history of working with associations of all levels in events teams, supporting the Board of Directors and staff liaison for committees. Keep an eye out for her photo on our staff page. Something you may not guess: She's an avid boater and bicyclist.
Members will see or hear from both of them soon!

Succession planning: It's a term you've heard a lot in the past two years.
NACAS created CASP so universities can responsibly prepare for leadership transition, benefit from operational efficiencies, and stay current in auxiliary-related practices that must adapt to emerging technologies and trends.
By placing the right leaders into executive auxiliary roles who have been validated by a rigorous and reputable certification program, valuable collaboration increases on campus and higher education institutions experience eased staffing transitions, quicker decision making in cross-departmental meetings, and less conflict when various service functions integrate.

Congratulations, new CASPs!

Millicent Parke, CASP: Middle Georgia State University
