NACAS is following the recommendations and research data of the CDC for large gatherings. Attendees can expect some safety measures to be in place while on-site for C3X. These include:

1. A wellness screening area prior to checking in at registration
2. Hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue
3. Seating arrangements that encourage comfortable distancing
4. Monitoring counts of attendees for indoor rooms
5. The option to use badge ribbons to communicate your personal comfort levels with attendee interactions

Research indicates that vaccination helps reduce the risk and transmission of infection from COVID-19. All NACAS staff are vaccinated to help protect our members. To help create a safe event environment, vaccines are strongly recommended to attend C3X. For those not vaccinated, we ask that you take a COVID-19 test indicating a negative result within 72 hours prior to arrival.

NACAS believes in the personal responsibility of community members to create a safe and inclusive experience. The CDC recommends wearing a mask indoors (for both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals), especially in areas of substantial or high transmission. Per this recommendation, NACAS requests all attendees to wear a mask as much as possible and when distancing isn’t an option throughout the duration of C3X.

More resources may be determined as NACAS assesses on-site operations and as local and federal guidelines shift.

Webinar: How to Align Your Housing Operation with Institution-wide Goals
September 15, 2021 | 3:00 PM ET

Many colleges and universities leveraged the conditions forced upon them by the COVID-19 pandemic to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of their business models. While nearly all focused on how best to deliver academic instruction, administer daily operations, and manage their physical assets, some concentrated specifically on how student-centered auxiliaries (e.g., housing, dining, campus recreation, bookstore, etc.) needed to change to drive maximum impact.

This webinar highlights Tennessee Technological University’s (TTU) extensive assessment of housing operations with the goal of increasing its capacity to drive value in alignment with the University’s overall strategic objectives related to enrollment management, curriculum enhancement, and financial/operational management strategies. TTU will discuss the drivers for its assessment, the planning process, the areas of operational focus for the assessment, organizational dynamics, and outcomes.
