New York Times bestselling author Ben Nemtin kicked off C3X with an inspiring keynote address on Monday, November 9. Nemtin, the author of "What Do You Want to Do Before You Die?" reminded C3X attendees  how vital their role is in helping college students, encouraged them to focus on self-care in the midst of the stress of COVID-19, and challenged them to do whatever it takes to find their passion.

Did you miss C3X? You'll want to read about this engaging eXpress eXtended session...

Carolina Recchi was 17 years old when she left Rome, Italy for Boston to attend college. Her parents were strong believers in education, and Carolina felt her best opportunity was to study in the United States.

When she arrived in Boston, she Initially felt lost, and says she never completely adjusted during her time in college.

“Throughout the four years, it was tough,” Recchi said. “I had no clue who my advisor was, what was a GPA. I essentially didn’t have anyone to help.”

During the C3X eXpress eXtended session, sponsored by Chartwells, Recchi told attendees how those college struglles eventually led her to become the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of EdSights, a technology company that uses conversational AI to support students over text messages, producing data that can be used to hear what students want and need from auxiliary services at scale.

'Tis the season! Keep an eye on your inbox for opportunities to support the NACAS Foundation in their mission to support students' basic needs and wellbeing. As we head into another uncertain season of life, students are faced again with unprecedented challenges. There are students who can't afford basic necessities like food, housing, and toiletries. No student should have to choose between buying books and paying rent. Donate to the NACAS Foundation this holiday season in support of their Campus Care Grant, which provides up to $25,000 to college or university programs that address basic needs issues for students in their communities.
