The non-academic services in higher education play an increasingly prominent role on college campuses every year. From food services and bookstores to housing and transportation, these components of student life, among countless others, contribute significantly to the overall experience and success of campus living. As the leading organization supporting all campus services, NACAS continuously looks for new and creative ways to help our member institutions enhance the quality of life for their students on- and off-campus through more meaningful and relevant experiences that go beyond the classroom.

To assist in this effort, we recently teamed up with Riddle & Bloom, an "Ideas and Access" agency specializing in connecting brands with the Next Generation consumer: high schoolers, college students, and young professionals.

Introducing... The NACAS 1FS Product Catalog

NACAS has partnered with One Food Service to bring our members an online foodservice product catalog. NACAS members can log in to compare nutritionals, search for items, and find the local sales contacts for products.

NACAS + 1FS Product Catalog = Great Value for NACAS Members

Many colleges and universities look to Google to find products or ingredients, or perhaps check with their distributor rep. Maybe they go to various manufacturers’ websites, hoping to find the information they seek. Until now, there was no single place that would give them the whole picture needed to make the most informed choice.

NACAS members will now be able to find that information in the NACAS Product Catalog, powered by 1FS. More information about this benefit will become available within the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

On November 10-12, NACAS Educational Program Coordinator Jacquelyn Wright attended the Textbook Affordability Conference (TAC), hosted by the National Association of College Stores (NACS). NACAS was a 2017 Planning Partner for the event. Auxiliary services play an integral role in textbook affordability, and we are committed to provide more access for students to be successful.

At the event, attendees worked together to build a collaborative approach to creating a course content model which campuses and partners can implement to create more affordable, accessible, and effective options for students—in print or digital formats, using both open and commercial content—that support student learning, retention, and completion.

NACAS had a blast hosting members and business partners at the C3X 2017 Annual Conference and Expo in Colorado Springs! Although our work on this year's event is over, we are already making preparations for C3X 2018 and the 50th Anniversary Celebration. We want to create the best conference yet -- but we need your help. We'd like your feedback on the first-ever C3X. Tell us what you liked most about the event, as well as the areas you believe need improvement. The data that we gather from this survey is vital in helping us to build experiences that are valuable to you as an auxiliary services professional.
