Take the Past President Challenge!
Regional and national past presidents are the backbone of our Association. Their commitment of service and dedication to our Association have been a critical part of our success. In order to encourage their further participation and financial support, the NACAS Education Foundation is proud to announce the Past President Challenge!

Any donation to the NACAS Education Foundation from a national or regional past president will be counted toward that individual's region's participation number.

The NACAS Education Foundation provides financial support in many ways to ensure the continuity of NACAS. The Foundation has funded the work of the Certification Commission, the Certified Auxiliary Service Professional (CASP) certification, as well as annual support of other programs, awards, and scholarships.

New feedback aggregation technology will allow college auxiliaries to monitor student feedback in real time through a single dashboard that harvests comments from all major digital communication platforms. Sixteen schools, 15 of them NACAS Members, are launching with the Buzz.Report platform to centralize student feedback, filter out irrelevant comments, analyze trends over time, and increase responsiveness to negative comments. In a climate of ever growing sensitivity to increased costs, college and university auxiliary and business officers have never faced a greater challenge to reduce their expenses and increase their revenues and contributions. Yet to date, the tools to help them navigate their way to this goal have been limited to home grown spreadsheets, and at best, an occasional share drive. In the 2014 CFO Report, published by The Chronicle of Higher Education, 65 percent of the 400 CFOs surveyed rated the quality of current analytics and systems to help guide decisions as "average to poor".

A cornucopia of Canadian proteins and produce was on display April 16, at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, when chefs from six Canadian universities took part in the Flavours of Canada guest chef event in the university's Hampshire Dining Commons.

Certification
A certification designed for you.
Did you know that CASP is the only certification designed for all areas of auxiliary services? Here are just a few of the areas where the more than 140 CASPs currently work: Art galleries, bookstores, bowling and billiards operations, card services, dining services, events and conferences, housing, information services, marketing and communications, mail centers, parking, physical security, ticket services, transportation, and many more. What do all of these individuals have in common? They've demonstrated that they have aptitude and expertise as auxiliary services professionals and a desire to achieve greater things in their career. Learn more

Sit for CASP at the 2015 NACAS Annual Conference.
Are you coming to the 2015 NACAS Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas? Make sure that you can sit for the CASP exam while there! Apply by Oct. 5, 2015, to secure your place. Learn more

New recertification credit requirements
The Certification Commission has approved new credit requirements for recertification. Now you can earn more credits for your volunteer leadership, a minimum of 1 credit for every educational session, 2 credits for being a conference mentor, and more! Visit the CASP website to learn more about these new requirements. Remember, after you take and pass the certification exam, you are a CASP for four years. To renew your CASP status, you must meet the CASP recertification requirements. Recertification requires four actions: submit your professional development plan, obtain activity credits, submit recertification application, and pay the recertification application fee.
