Jetrader Magazine

The summer issue of Jetrader is available and will be arriving in mailboxes shortly. Packed with content, this issue reflects on ISTAT Americas and ISTAT Asia, while also offering a look at the future of 3D printing, the freighter market recovery, appraiser education, Foundation updates and a host of other topics. Be sure to check out the new issue here.

For those familiar with the freighter aircraft market, 2009 seems like an eternity ago. At that time, freighters of all ages and types were flying into desert storage in record numbers. Air cargo demand had fallen dramatically as the impact of the global recession set in. Some international carriers grounded most of their long-haul freighters, and 777 passenger bellies were considered a real threat to the future of main deck airfreight. Meanwhile, ocean and rail shipping, always more cost effective, became faster and more reliable and with track-and-trace capability formerly only from the integrators.

Advertising space is now available in the Autumn issue of Jetrader magazine. Beyond our normal distribution to all ISTAT members in both print and interactive digital editions, this issue will have significant bonus distribution at ISTAT EMEA event this September. For year-round access to ISTAT members, please reference the advertising opportunities available through ISTAT and Jetrader by clicking here, or by contacting: Erik Henson, Jetrader media director at +1 352-333-3443 or

Industry News
IATA's semi-annual report takes a broad look at how the airline industry is adding value for its consumers, the wider economy and governments, as well as for its investors.
Airbus has forecast a need for 34,170 passenger and 730 freighter aircraft, worth a combined total of $5.3 trillion, by 2036, according to Airbus’ latest Global Market Forecast 2017-2036 presented 9 June.
One of the highlights of the aviation calendar, the biannual Paris Air Show celebrates its 52nd edition this month. Organizers expect 2,300-2,400 exhibitors and revealed at a press briefing in May that the show had sold out in October 2016, five months earlier than normal. Some 150 aircraft are expected to be on display.
