The U.S. Geological Survey has released to IME members the 2019 Minerals Yearbook tables for explosives consumption, which are included as an attachment. The data indicates a drop of 40,000 metric tons total explosives consumption between 2018 and 2019. The agency also provided an update on past outstanding reports: The 2018 narrative report is in layout and the 2019 narrative report is in editorial review. IME links the Explosives Consumption data (final USGS reports) from 1912 to present on our website under Resources.
