An Australia-based company has agreed to buy Arizona Mining, which is currently working to construct a large-scale silver-lead-zinc mine in the Patagonia Mountains, the two firms announced Sunday. South32, which already owned 17-percent of Arizona Mining, is now poised to purchase the remaining 83 percent in a cash sale valued at $1.3 billion.

World’s largest miner BHP (ASX, NYSE:BHP) (LON:BLT) is said to have hired Goldman Sachs to assist in the sale of the Western Australia-based Nickel West, four years after giving up on the plan to divest the asset because it could find a suitor to meet price expectations. In 2017, the last time Nickel West was on the block, Glencore offered $200 million for the business, The Australian reports. But according to Deutsche Bank AG the mine-to-market nickel asset could be worth about $690 million.

Epiroc has started trading on Nasdaq Stockholm, marking its start as a fully independent company following its split from Atlas Copco. Atlas Copco first announced it was planning to split into two separate companies in January 2017 in an attempt to produce a new mining-focused business that could help to streamline Atlas Copco operations. As such, Epiroc’s aim as a company is to provide equipment, solutions and services for mining, infrastructure and natural resources customers as opposed to Atlas Copco’s more industrial focus. The move to list Epiroc publicly is expected to increase the company’s focus and will enable Epiroc to work with a separate management team with independent access to capital.
