Curious about what sets the Seismograph Section apart? Dive into their recent work and upcoming goals.

In 2024, the seismograph section is diving into a groundbreaking joint EFEE/ISEE study, comparing international blasting standards. Beyond deploying seismographs, their studies now include global wall strains, climatological crack responses, and localized strain measurements.

The integration of seismographs and vibration measurements during ISEE's 49th Annual Conference was a hit, showcasing the impact on both vibration consultants and blasters. As ISEE gears up for membership renewal, we invite those actively involved in seismographs to join the seismograph section.

Looking ahead, the section is excited about advancing their education programs, introducing higher-level data analyses to guide blasters and blast consultants from 2025 onwards. The ISEE Performance Specifications for Blasting Seismographs (2022 ed.) and the ISEE Field Practice Guidelines for Blasting Seismographs (2020 ed.), continue to shape industry standards with input from section members.

While they officially meet at the annual ISEE conference, the heartbeat of their section continues to echo. Study groups collaborate throughout the year and at ISEE chapter meetings.
