On August 10, the Senate passed the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Jobs and Investment Act that includes $550 billion in new spending over 10 years.

As mentioned in the prior story, President Biden’s infrastructure deal was for traditional infrastructure projects that always have broad bipartisan appeal in Washington.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act mentions per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the context of providing federal grants and loans to address these chemicals in drinking water and wastewater discharge.
