OSHA Publishes New ANPRM on Heat Injury and Illness Prevention

Earlier this month, OSHA published in the Federal Register an Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for a new rulemaking titled Heat Injury and Illness Prevention in Outdoor and Indoor Work Settings. According to the notice, OSHA seeks information on issues that may be considered in developing a standard to help prevent heat injury and illness in all work settings, including the scope of the standard and the types of controls that might be required – Conn Maciel Carey LLP, a law firm specializing in OSHA safety regulations and long-time partner of ILTA, will form a working group to produce comments on the new ANPRM – ILTA is currently trying to gauge how critical this issue will be for the terminals industry. If you think it is vital for ILTA to get involved in the working groups, please email Jay Cruz (jcruz@ilta.org) with your thoughts.
