Clay Highlights Importance of Terminals in BIC Magazine Midstream Webinar

ILTA President Kathryn Clay highlighted the importance of the terminal industry to about 400 participants at an industry roundtable hosted by BIC Magazine. She and the other panelists—Andy Black, president and chief executive officer of the Association of Oil Pipe Lines; Gregory Bowser, president and CEO of the Louisiana Chemical Association; and Hector Rivero, president and CEO of the Texas Chemical Council—provided insights into the downstream and midstream industry, including a post-election overview of opportunities and challenges under the new administration, as well as how the industry is handling the COVID-19 era and which segments are closest to recovery.

Clay noted that the incoming Biden administration could present challenges to many industries, including liquid fuels, chemical and terminals, on the regulatory and legislative front. She cited the TWIC biometric reader rule, CFATS and potential legislation attempting to ban PFAS and PFOS. Read BIC’s write up or watch the event here.
