ILTA held its Spring 2020 Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Committee and Operations Council meetings virtually on March 31 and April 1. There was fantastic attendance with more than 90 participants during the Environmental session, more than 70 during the Health and Safety session, and more than 60 for the Security session. The Operations Council had more than 30 participants for its meeting. Participants were actively engaged during the sessions. Attendees heard presentations on U.S. Coast Guard operations in the New Orleans Sector by Captain of the Port Kristi Luttrell, Hurricane Planning from Marathon Petroleum’s Dan Somma, Industrial Hygiene from Marathon Petroleum’s Ted Grigorieff and the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles at oil and gas facilities from Uzkar Ibrahim with 4C Marketplace. These meetings were originally scheduled to be held in New Orleans, but had to be moved to a virtual format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. ILTA thanks its terminal members and guest speakers for making these meetings a tremendous success.
