Theresa Kiel has been hired as the Marketing & Communications Specialist for the Carol Stream Park District. She has seven years of design and marketing experience including branding, execution of marketing plans, and multiple platforms of print and digital graphic design. Theresa comes to Carol Stream from the Hoffman Estates Park District where she worked as the Creative Marketing Coordinator. Her drive, innovation and talent led her to receive IPRA’s 2015 Communication & Marketing (C&M) Vision Award; she was also named as the C& M Section Rising Star – Young Professional of the Year in 2012. Theresa is an active member of the Illinois Park & Recreation Association, serving on the Supervisor Symposium, the Professional Services Committee, and as the Conference Committee Chair for the Communications & Marketing Section. She will be responsible for marketing the District and its many facilities, programs and events.

Harry Vyhnanek has been hired as a Recreation Supervisor. Harry originally worked at the Carol Stream Park District during his internship; he returns to Carol Stream after having worked at the Itasca Park District as a Program Supervisor overseeing Athletics since 2013. Harry will be responsible for youth athletic programs, sports leagues, scheduling the recreation site attendants and managing the District’s mini golf course facility.
