In today’s society it seems awards are for everyone. All you have to do is show up and you get an award. In youth sports, everyone who plays gets an award. In the entertainment business there are the Emmys, Oscars, Tonys, SAGs, People’s Choice, Golden Globes... and the list goes on and on. There are almost enough award shows to ensure every actor gets an award. The more awards that exist, the less value each one seems to have.

Debbie has been in association management for 11 years. She has served as interim executive director of Illinois Home Care Council (IHCC) and executive director of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP), Academy for Eating Disorders (AED), Society of Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM) and Society of Vertebrate Paleontology (SVP). Further, she has served associations from the advocacy side as manager of state government affairs for the American Osteopathic Association, managing legislation in all 50 states, as well as serving as lobbyist for home care and hospice for six years working for Illinois Home Care Council.
