April is the month where bulbs we planted in the fall begin to bloom. I believe IPRA’s educational calendar mirrors this analogy. We launched our 2012 calendar in November, and April is going to be a month filled with great educational opportunities. I encourage you to check out the IPRA website to find out additional information on the ones I am highlighting, or one of the many other offerings listed on the IPRA calendar.
It was spring and the time when every young boy’s thoughts turn to baseball. At least that is what it was for me in the year I turned 12 years old. I played centerfield for the Yankees in the Forest Park Little League. I had great aspirations of becoming a professional baseball player. I was fast, could hit to all fields, and steal bases with the best of them. That year I was selected to the All Star Team. At that time there weren't any travel teams. Each community entered a team of all stars into the Little League World Series Tournament.
