Cybex Total Access Strength and Cardiovascular Fitness Line

The Huntley Park District’s Fitness Center has been shut down from Sunday, May 24 - Sunday, May 31 for renovations to be held. The primary focus of this renovation is the installation of a brand new, state-of-the-art strength and cardio fitness line. Cybex’s Total Access strength and cardiovascular fitness line will be replacing the 20-year-old Paramount strength line as well as a couple of old treadmill units that we currently house.

With the dozens of different fitness strength lines available on the market, proper target market and demographic research was conducted within the community, as well as bordering townships, to ensure our fitness center upgrade would be beneficial. After data was gathered and analyzed, a strategic decision was made.

With our senior population spiking due to the close proximity of the Huntley Del Webb Retirement facility and the partnership with NISRA and the Life Skills programming at Consolidated School District 158, the decision to upgrade to the Cybex Total Access fitness line made the most sense. The Huntley Park District is constantly brainstorming new ways to accommodate every individual that visits our facilities. With the general makeup of the current equipment we have on our floor, restrictions present themselves to our seniors, special needs students, and even to our general population.

Cybex’s Total Access fitness line will allow for ADA accommodations such as wheelchair accessibility, raised iconography (Braille), and a unique color scheme on equipment to raise awareness if exercises are being performed incorrectly. Implementing this fitness line will allow a new workout experience, not just to these target markets but for all visitors of the Huntley Park District Fitness Center.
