GIS in the Parks: Session 1, Where to Start and PNRMS/MIPE Meetings and Lunch - 2/12/15
Event Description: This will be Session 1 of a 4 Session GIS Education Program designed specifically for park professionals wanting to begin learning about, or expand their knowledge of GIS for park mapping, planning and asset management. In this session we will answer the question "What is GIS, and what can you do with GIS?" by providing real-world examples presented by industry professionals. We will also identify who is available to assist your agency with base data and support. This will lead into some real life demonstrations of how a GIS is "built" within an organization and used in park mapping, planning and asset management.This session will be followed by a PNRMS meeting from 11:30 AM-12:00 PM and a MIPE Lunch/Meeting from 12 PM – 1 PM) |
