Attention Recreation Professionals & Educators!
Dayell Houzenga, WDSRA Support Services Supervisor, will lead this interactive networking opportunity for students to interact with professionals who have experience in their area of interest. We are looking for all levels of professionals -- coordinators, supervisors, managers, superintendents and directors in all areas of recreation, who would be interested in meeting with students to provide some insight into what you do in the profession. Currently registration for professionals and students is low so we need your help! Please fill out this form and send to Dayell at WDSRA if you are interested in assisting. If you cannot make the event, but have some agency items to donate (agency T-shirts, sweatshirts, bags, mugs, etc...), please contact Dayell. The goal is to get one raffle giveaway per student who attends. In the past we have also had larger items to raffle off. Some great things have come in the past such as Chicago Bulls tickets, other sporting event tickets, comedy show tickets, movie theatre tickets, i-Pod Shuffle, BBQ sets, nicer park district apparel/polos/jackets, vendor items such as jump drives, gardening sets, etc. Your agency's assistance or personal assistance through contacts or donations would be greatly appreciated. You can mail items to Dayell’s attention at WDSRA, 116 N. Schmale Road, Carol Stream, IL 60188 (preferred method) or we can make arrangements for a pick up/drop off of some kind before or during the IPRA/IAPD Conference. Educators Please encourage your students to register for and attend this free event. Students may register onsite, however it makes it difficult for us to estimate the correct amount of pizza & refreshments for dinner and raffle prizes. Pre-registration is highly encouraged so that we can also ensure to have a professional in the area of interest to each student.
