IIE’s International Academic Partnership Program seeks to increase the number of international partnerships between higher education institutions in the U.S. and those abroad. Each year, IIE chooses a select number of countries for its strategic partnership programming. In the past, these countries have included Brazil, Cuba, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Iran. This year, we’d like to hear from you. Which countries would you like to see IIE create a partnership program for in 2016-17? We want your feedback about IIE’s programs to learn where your institution is looking to develop stronger international partnerships. Maybe your choice will become the next IAPP destination. Tell us now.

From now through the end of August, the U.S. Department of State is looking for volunteers to open their homes to an international exchange student. Through exchange programs such as FLEX, Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES), and Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX), the Department of State offers a unique opportunity for international students between the ages of 15-18 to come study in the United States. Through this experience, host families not only leave lasting impressions of the United States on their exchange students, they also gain invaluable insights into new cultures. For an unforgettable year of discovery with your family, consider hosting an international exchange student. To volunteer to host for the 2016-2017 academic year or to learn more, visit hosting.state.gov.
